Wednesday at The Barclays

Edison, NJ. Wednesday at The Barclays is a fun time for fans and golf nuts alike to get up close and personal with the players. You get a more intimate feel and have the chance to figure out where the best spots are to watch some of the greats before the big crowds get here for the weekend.
At 7:30am the first group of players teed off at The Barclays, Pro-Am. World number 1, Jordan Spieth, teed off on the first hole. Yesterday with Spieth’s first time playing Plainfield Country Club. When a course is new, the world number 1 “plays nine holes and then from there I’ll be able to kind of get a gist of what you need to work on this week…” Jordan stated yesterday at his press conference.

Spieth looked pretty comfortable this morning in the pro-am. He’s a young guy who knows how to adapt, so I’m not too worried about his unfamiliarity of the course.

On the less popular side this week, is the story of Bae Sang-moo who has to head back to Korea for his mandatory two years in the army after the FedEx Cup playoffs. Bae is a two time PGA tour winner and it will be sad to see him leave for two years, but I am sure he will come back even stronger.

An exciting four days of golf are ahead of us. Tune back tonight for a recap of the pro-am and a preview for tomorrow’s first round.
