Si Woo Kim won The Players Championship on Sunday. The prize? $1.9 million.
21 year-old Kim, who is now the youngest winner of golf’s biggest payday, didn’t do what 99% of winners do after a tournament. He didn’t chug champagne, travel private or flaunt his win on social media. Instead he humbly sat in the middle seat on a Southwest commercial flight to Atlanta.
Based on his performance this weekend, you would have never thought that just a few years ago, in 2013, he missed the cut in seven tournaments and withdrew from the eighth.
It just goes to show that you can’t give up on your dreams no matter how frustrating.
